Kobe Was Kobe, But The Jazz??

People probably remember all the ways Kobe has won and took over games. Well, the same could be said of his Last Game last night. He dropped 60 points last night vs. the Jazz. Shaq dared him to put up 50 points. Fans are going crazy, saying this is the best most entertaining last game for any player. I just have one problem with last nights game.

Yes it was entertaining and some of the shots looked like vintage Mamba. Let’s get away from Kobe and look at the Utah Jazz. My last article was about the tight last place in the Western Conference for the Jazz and Rockets. Well, earlier Wednesday the Rockets won their game in great fashion by 35 points. By doing so it eliminated the Jazz who hadn’t laced their sneakers up yet for their showdown with the Lakers. Meaning the Jazz had nothing to play for their last game of the season.

Now, if you know basketball and have watched enough over the years. You’d know by this very video. The Utah JAZZ played little to no defense at all on Kobe. It’s right here in the video. I have never seen an entire team let a player walk the ball up the court most of the game. There was a considerable amount of letting one guy get blown by and the rest of the team just watching. I mean I give Kobe the respect and due diligence, he hit those shots. To me that game looked like a friendly pick up game in your driveway with the neighborhood guys. There was a lack of competitiveness on the part of the Jazz, who had the wind knocked out of them. There can be no doubt the elimination from the playoffs had an effect on them. Decide and comment.
